If you're looking for simple Valentine's Day art projects that are both easy and adorable, you've come to the right place! The following crafts can be tailored toward any elementary grade level and they only require a few basic art supplies. We're sure you and your students are going to have fun creating Valentine's Day memories with these sweet crafts!

Valentine Heart Wreath

Your students (and you!) can add some February flair to your doors with a pretty pink Valentine wreath made out of paper hearts. Grab some pink, red, and purple construction paper, scissors, a ruler, a pencil, a stapler, tape, and yarn or string to get started!

Here's how to make a Valentine heart wreath in five easy steps:

Use a pencil and a ruler to draw equal strips on a piece of colored construction paper.
Cut out the strips with scissors and fold each one in half.
Bend the ends inward and staple them together in a heart shape. Young children may need extra help with this step. (Tip: a mini stapler works best.)
Roll pieces of tape and stick them to the sides of each heart. Attach the hearts together to form a circular chain.
When your wreath is complete, add some yarn or string to hang it from a door!

"I Love You This Much!" Greeting

Here's a sweet message that kids can take home to their parents for Valentine's Day. The best part? It's so simple to make! You'll need pink construction paper, a pencil, a ruler, scissors, a marker, and glue to begin.

Here's what to do:

Have students trace each of their hands on a piece of pink construction paper. Cut out the hand shapes with scissors.
Write the words, "I Love You," on the outside of each hand.
Use a pencil and a ruler to draw a strip on pink construction paper. Cut out the strip with scissors.
Fold the strip, back and forth, like an accordion.
Write the words, "This Much!" on the strip of paper, so that one letter fills up each segment.
Glue the ends of the accordion strip to the inside of each hand, and your message is ready to be delivered!

Heart Bouquet Greeting Card

A bouquet of red roses can be pretty pricey on Valentine's Day, but there's no need to spend a dime on this pretty bouquet of paper hearts! Kids can make this sweet greeting card for a family member or a friend using items you already have in your classroom supply closet!

Make sure you have white card stock, red, pink, and purple construction paper, markers, a piece of red ribbon, scissors, and glue.

Now you're ready to get started:

Fold a piece of white card stock in half. Draw a small heart on a second piece of white card stock and cut it out. This will be your tracer.
Trace nine hearts, three on each color of construction paper. Cut them out with scissors and make little designs with a black marker.
On the folded white card stock, draw flower "stems" with the green marker. Glue the hearts at the top of the bouquet.
Tie the red ribbon into a bow and glue it onto the stems.
Add a friendly Valentine's Day message to the front of the card, and now it's ready to be given to someone who's near and dear!

Bee Mine Valentine

How adorable is this little heart-shaped bumble bee? Your students can make one just like him using black, yellow, pink, and white construction paper, red pipe cleaners, and markers. You'll also want to have a pencil, scissors, and glue on hand.

Here's how it's done:

Draw a heart shape on a piece of firm paper such as card stock. Cut it out to use as your tracer.
Trace two hearts on black construction paper and two hearts on yellow construction paper and cut them out. Layer them on top of each other and adhere them with glue.
Cut out circular eyes from the white construction paper. Glue those on and add black pupils. Give your bumble bee a smile and rosy cheeks.
Trace two hearts on pink paper and cut them out. Glue the pink "wings" to the sides of the bumble bee body.
Attach two pipe cleaner antennae with glue.
Cut two smaller hearts out of pink construction paper and glue them to the tips of the antennae.
Add a "Bee Mine" message with red marker and everyone will be buzzing about this irresistible critter!
