Item 1: New Worksheets
Kristen has been busy creating a new series of worksheets for Super Teacher Worksheets. I mean very busy. I checked my inbox to find 56 new printables ready-to-go. :)
Take a look at Kristen's new printables on the new 50 States page. There are mystery state worksheets, states and capitals worksheets, abbreviations, state quizzes, and more!
Item 2: Brainteasers
While Kristen's been busy creating worksheets on States and Capitals, I've been working on a project of my own. The new Brain Teaser Worksheets page is now up and running. The page has eleven new worksheets, including: Hink Pinks (Rhyming Pairs), Thinking Riddles, Code Puzzles, and more!
Item 3: Classroom Management Mistakes
I am proud to be able to post an article by Lynn Dorney titled, Common Mistakes in Implementing Classroom Behavior Supports. This article describes 8 common mistakes teachers make when they create and enforce classroom rules. No matter how much (or little) experience you have, it's always a good idea to take a fresh look at your classroom discipline techniques. Lynn offers sound advice that all teachers should consider.
Item 4: End-of-Year Activities
It's already May. For many schools in the US, the school year is winding up. (For us poor souls in the Northeast, we will still be in session through most of June.)
Take a look at this page for some end-of-the-year activity ideas.
