New blank bar graph worksheet, by request from a visitor who e-mailed me. It features a blank grid and axis so students can design their own graphs.
The October "spelling activites contest" is HUGE this month. There's never been such a good response to a contest on this site. Nearly 100 entries so far! (I think the form stops working after 100 entries per month-- people will have to e-mail their entries after that.)

Also, take a look at the new writing prompts page. I've re-designed the page and added 30 new writing worksheets! I've always been wary of adding graphics to my worksheets for copyright reasons, but I've added some public domain clip art to the writing ones to make them more interesting. Hope you like them!
Got a good idea for a creative writing topic? E-mail me and let me know about it! Maybe I can make it into a writing worksheet for you!

Check out Teresa Evan's new book: Halloween Activities for Kids! It features over 160 pages of printable worksheets, games, activities, puzzles, and riddles with a Halloween theme. It's only $17.95... a real bargain when you consider the quantity and quality of the resources.

The September contest has ended. Many thanks to all who entered. This month's contest required a little more work than usual to enter, since entrants had to take a photograph of a bulletin board in their classroom. As a result, there were only 7 entries this month. I appreciate all who took the time to do so. We some amazing submissions, which made it very hard to choose a winner.
I've also created a new page to showcase past contest winners. You can view past contests, dates, topics, winners, and winning submissions.
The new contest is up. This month, all you have to do is describe a fun activity that you use to teach spelling. Check it out on the contest page.

I got an e-mail from a visitor that read:
Hi Tim,
I was introduced to your web site today by a co-worker.
I have spent hours surfing it and love the user friendly lay out,
differentiated work sheets, and teacher comment pages.
My question is...Do you have a homework sheet layout that
teachers/students could use to write in their daily assignments,
spelling words, and special reminders?
Angela
Here you go Angela: The new Teacher Tools page has the homeworks sheets you request, as well as printable teacher plan book pages. Enjoy!

Highlight of the day!
I got an e-mail from a satisfied visitor. It reads:
Hi Tim,
I stumbled upon your website, and I'd like you to know that I was glad that I did.
I love the layout of the pages, and I especially, like what I found on the pages.
It's such a practical site.
To do all the things teachers do, they've got to be super teachers.
Thank you for creating the site.
The e-mail was unsigned and there was no name on it, but the positive feedback really made my day. Thank you!

With school starting up again, it is hard for me to keep adding new worksheets on my own, so I've hired Kristen from Michigan to make up some new ones for the site. Kristen's already made up a page of synonym and antonym worksheets. Check it out!
